Our heroes find the pyramid of their dreams, literally. Having seen visions of their trapped companion, Hairhorn Starchild, residing in a pyramid, the Rogue Missions crew heads out to find this structure and with it, their friend. However, things are not what they seem; and they soon discover an usual creature with a penchant for strange collectibles.
Welcome to Season 2 of the Rogue Missions podcast! Things are changing around here and we like it. While we mourn the loss of Hallebjorn due to other party responsibilities, we welcome Raksash the Drow Sorcerer (Played by Jon) and Her Royal Highness, Princess Lyr the Kalashtar Psionic (HRHP Lyr played by Sandy). In addition, there are some changes to the current line-up. Bolt Spellblaster take some much needed Vacation time in the newly acquired, and unnamed, Rogue Missions mountain fortress. We are instead joined by new party healer with Thoradin Stonehammer, Dwarven Cleric (played by Josh). Also, Darius has gone on a pilgrimage for his holy duties. As such, Wei-Lin, an Eladrin Monk, will be joining our party (played by Jeff). Lastly, and certainly most interestingly, Hairhorn Starchild has gone missing! Brad will be DM'ing the quest our heroes go on to find Starchild and, if necessary, find/punish those responsible for his disappearance.
As a deity undefined as of the latest info from Wizards of the Coast, Clangeddin Silverbeard provides characters with a sort of blank slate on which adventurers can create their god. In the upcoming second season of the Rogue Missions D&D Podcast, Josh takes on the role of healer as Thoradin Stonehammer, a dwarven cleric. In this instance, Thoradin is a devout follower of Clangeddin Silverbeard. As the game progresses, Clangeddin is becoming more and more defined. To begin, here are a list of his commandments:
1) Don't hang out in pits you don't want to be in.
2) Friends don't let friends get decapitated.
3) Don't create multiple versions of yourself.
4) There's probably treasure in there.
5) Should a book possess you, do not get hurled into a statue.
6) Never whisper.
7) Just hit him, he's probably only got 2 hit points left.
8) It always works, except when it doesn't.
9) Stay away from stale beer.
Here it is! The final chapter in season 1 of the Rogue Missions podcast. Your favorite heroes are trapped in a cavern with Sartharrax, the dreaded White Dragon. Will they defeat him? Will Alina ever go out with Bolt? Can you really roll Thievery to find treasure? All these and more may or may not be answered in the thrilling conclusion: Drakes and Lakes.
Greetings, fans! Your favorite podcast was at PAX 2010 this past weekend and we had a crazy time. For starters, we checked out the Live DND game put on by Wizards of the Coast and Penny-Arcade. That was not to be missed. Pray it will be on the DVD. We played several Dungeon Delves at the WotC booth/area. One of our DM's was about 1,000 years old and could roll criticals like it was his job. We also picked up the D&D Red Box. It's a great way to jumpstart your D&D experience. Lastly, we snagged some free bottles of Jones Soda sporting D&D themes.
Our last night at the hotel was pretty awesome. We broke out the Red Box and played in the lobby/lounge. The pre-made adventure is pretty good, and the tokens that come with the Red Box are really helpful. All in all, PAX 2010 was excellent. Next year, expect some merch/swag from our crew!
The chips are down and someone has to kick it up to 11. Hairhorn Starchild is eager to demonstrate the powers of his class, and does so with finesse. Brace yourselves, listeners, for the event of a lifetime! (Until we post next week's episode!)
Welcome back! In this episode, our heroes, Rogue Missions, continue to battle their way through the Kobold Hall. Chased by a boulder the DM claims is not sentient, the party must defeat the leader of the Kobolds and claim ultimate victory!
Ready for more additions to the cast? Doesn't matter! Here's a new one anyway. Rogue Missions is joined by a Deva Invoker named Hairhorn Starchild. His mysterious purple skin confounds and amazes! Okay, well maybe it's more off-putting than anything else. Regardless! They'll need this new party member if they are to find out the real secret of Kobold Hall. Tune in for awesome!
In this episode, our heroes continue to battle inside the Kobold arena. Well, it's not an arena per se, but you get the idea. Tune in for thrilling battles, hilarious one-liners, and a chance to win a lifetime supply of happiness!*
*(Happiness is not being given away.)
This week, your favorite heroes are joined by a newcomer, Hallbjorn the Fighter - affectionately known as "baby-bjorn". Listen in as they continue their quest to empty Kobold Hall of its nefarious inhabitants. Hilarity ensues!
